Bernie grew up in the Midway neighborhood of Saint Paul before moving to Bloomington Illinois
during high school. He returned to study mechanical engineering at the University of Minnesota.
While working as an engineer he became passionate about the wealth building potential of investment
real estate. He currently owns two investment properties in the northern suburbs. He lives in
Ham Lake with his wife Tanja, also a mechanical engineer. In their spare time they enjoy downhill
